GoDaddy.com Web Hosting recommendedWith over 10 years experience in the business, IWN Website Services has watched web hosting companies come and go. That is why client websites are only trusted to public companies who are established and have a track record of exceptional performance.

  2. Yahoo Small Business (from $20.00 month)

IWN Website Services has hosted internal company and external client websites on both platforms. IWN currently hosts over 30 websites on GoDaddy.com and a handful on Yahoo Small Business.

Please note web hosting account fees are payable to your web hosting provider and not IWN Website Services. A web hosting account is required to place your website on the global Internet. IWN Website Services will configure your web hosting account and explain and show you how it works.

Domain Name Registration

IWN Website Services can register your domain name for you or walk you through doing this yourself over the telephone. The process takes about 30 minutes or so and requires and Internet connection, web browser and credit/debit card.

Initial Annual Costs for Domain Name Registration:

  • $0.99 - $35.00 per year.
  • Require Annual Renewals (ranging from $9.99 - $35.00 / year after first year)

Yahoo Domains usually runs a promotion for $1.99 / domain / year for the first year. I use this often when setting up new client web hosting accounts. The reason being is you can register just the domain only and add the web hosting account later through GoDaddy.com or any other web hosting provider.

Domains can take up to 48 hours to propagate throughout the global Internet.

Important Information About Yahoo IDs

Important Info on Yahoo DomainsIf you use Yahoo Domains be sure and create a NEW YAHOO ID and email account specifically for that domain name.

I will require access to this YAHOO ID to manage DNS settings and it's best your regular Yahoo ID is not used otherwise I will have to access your Yahoo email, passwords, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Google AppsGoogle Apps for Your Domain

IWN Website Services will install and configure a basic Google Apps setup. This will allow your domain to host:

  1. Custom Gmail with up to 2000 user accounts (more can be added).
  2. Integrated Chat inside Gmail

  4. Online Documents including Word Processing and Spreadsheets and more.

Google Apps requires a domain to work properly. Google Apps custom Gmail is a beta version and may not be 100% reliable.
